Thirst of a Thousand to be published

sexandmurder4

We are pleased to announce that our short story, Thirst of a Thousand, which was written earlier this year, will be published in Issue #4 of Sex and Murder.

Thirst of a Thousand is about a young college girl named September who has an unusual — and erotic — thirst for blood. Her explorations and liaisons lead her deeper and deeper into a black chasm of bloodlust and violence.

We wrote Thirst of a Thousand as a somewhat different take on the “vampire” phenomenon in popular literature. In this story, the word “vampire” is only uttered once, and only in reference to a work of art by Edvard Munch.

Download or purchase a print copy of Sex and Murder Issue #4.

Ubour (noun) Def. Vampiric creature of Bulgarian legends, created when a person dies violently or when the spirit refuses to leave the body. Ubours remain buried for 40 days before arising.
